Cliché and overused as it may be, the saying, “If you aren’t getting better, you are getting worse” is entirely on the money, particularly in the world of logistics. New technology and innovative process improvements are constantly shaping and revising industry best practices. Although one cannot say for sure what best practices will look like in five years, it is safe to say that it is highly unlikely they will look the same way they do today – and that those that don’t keep up with these improvements will fall behind in more ways than one.
