NAPERVILLE, IL, November 30, 2016 – G&D Integrated, a specialized provider of transportation and logistics, announced that it is the recipient of the Liberty Mutual Insurance 2016 Gold Safety Award for outstanding reduction in crash frequency. For the second year running, G&D Integrated has received this safety award.
Award criteria require specific safety program elements be in place within an organization in addition to achieving a measurable improvement in vehicle crash frequency. To be eligible to receive a gold safety level award requires a minimum of at least 26 percent improvement in crash frequency during a specific one year period. According to Liberty Mutual, G&D Integrated achieved a 69 percent reduction from October 2015 to October 2016, which is even greater than G&D’s previous year reduction of 36 percent.
“We are proud to receive this honor for the second time,” said Jeff Cohen, vice president of transportation at G&D Integrated. “We feel that this is a validation of the commitment we have made to building safety into every aspect of our operations. Our drivers, mechanics, and office personnel are genuinely proud of our safety record and are actively engaged to continue our improvement.”
“The commitment to driver safety throughout the organization at G&D Integrated has been key to such an impressive reduction in vehicle crash frequency,” said Fred Filiaggi, senior service director of risk control services at Liberty Mutual Insurance. “Liberty is proud to partner with the safety team at G&D Integrated. We share a common goal to prevent injuries and accidents, and lower the total cost of risk.”
